Stress and anxiety are two conditions that everyone will experience at times in their life. Some at a very young age.

Understanding more about them could help dealing, accepting, moving on and dispersing the fear that surrounding them especially anxiety.

It is important to recognise the symptoms as the alarm system of the body, as it lets us know when our internal environment needs our attention. Learning the signs and understanding what they mean is essential for maintaining good physical and mental health.

We should welcome our symptoms and listen to their message as soon as possible (in the acute stage) so they don’t become louder (chronic).

Wikipidia describes stress as “a cause, an effect, or the process connecting the two” and anxiety as “a normal reaction to stressor” that in balance “may help an individual to deal with a demanding situation by prompting them to cope with it. However, when anxiety becomes overwhelming, it may fall under the classification of an anxiety disorder” . In other words, it will cause uncomfortable feelings in the body and affect our mental state.

We will all experience times in our lives where there is more pressure coming at us from the outside. At times, when we are strong and feeling good, this pressure does not cause us any problems, we deal with the situations calmly or at least efficiently and move on. It is when our internal environment is out of balance or when there are long periods of intense stress from the outside that the body’s core strength is demolished, affecting both our physical and mental wellbeing and resulting in anxiety.

OK, so it is the balance between the external and the internal, removing the cause to affect the effect finding the balance between rest (to re-charge the body) and activity (to move the energy).
